What did the solar Eclipse look like from a Private Jet?

While only one in every 10,000 people are estimated to experience the totality of an eclipse in their lifetime, an even smaller number will have the opportunity to experience an eclipse from the air.

Reporter Tori Latham with Robb Report became one of those few people earlier this month when she joined 30 others on a special flight chartered to ensure they saw the eclipse before it vanished from the continent for decades. The next solar eclipse slated to pass over the United States will be in 2044.

“The eclipse is a fleeting moment, one you’re lucky to get to experience even just once in your life, and a lot of factors have to align—quite literally—for it to all come together,” Latham wrote. “Best to savor the moment, whatever little sliver of it you come across.”

Gulfstream starts deliveries of G700, Now the Largest and Fastest Aircraft in their Lineup

Gulfstream has begun customer deliveries of the newly certified Gulfstream G700, the largest and fastest aircraft in their lineup to date. This follows closely on the heels of its type certification by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in March.

The G700 boasts an impressive range of 7,750 nautical miles, outstripping its projected capabilities and setting it apart in the ultra-long-range private jet market. It surpasses competitors like the Bombardier Global 7500 and the upcoming Dassault Falcon 10X, establishing a new benchmark for range and speed in the industry.

The cabin can seat 19 people and features 20 panoramic windows and offers the lowest altitude settings in its class, making it the perfect blend of style and sophistication for discerning travelers.

F1 Drivers have impressive cars — and private jets

Ahead of this year’s Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix is this weekend, it is interesting to see just how these drivers will be arriving at Miami International Autodrome for the race. Obviously, they are not flying commercial.

Max Verstappen, the driver who represents Oracle Red Bull Racing and has won nearly every race of late, flies in style aboard his Dassault Falcon 900EX. This aircraft is renowned for its range, comfort, and performance, making it ideal for the global travels of a three-time World Drivers' Champion.

But Verstappen’s colleagues have extravagant jets as well, with driving greats like Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso each having their own aircraft to shuttle them around the globe. The festivities for the three-day event kick on Friday, with the race slated for 4 p.m. on Sunday in Miami.
